SNSD’s Sooyoung has finished filming for her upcoming tvN drama and has sent it off with a bunch of bittersweet tears.

Sooyoung finished filming for the upcoming medical drama The Third Hospital on August 5.

Marking her first attempt at acting as a lead in a television drama, Sooyoung kicked off filming for the drama back in March and grew close with her fellow cast and staff of the drama over the past five months.

After the director gave the, “Cut!” cue, marking the successful completion of Sooyoung’s final scene, her co-star Oh Ji Ho brought out a surprise cake to congratulate her on her final shoot amid a wave of applause and congratulatory shouts from the staff.

After blowing out the candles, Sooyoung immediately burst into tears as she expressed her gratitude and fondness towards those she worked with the last few months.

During that same day, Sooyoung surprised the staff by presenting over a hundred staff members with a handwritten note, autographed SNSD CD and makeup set as the entire staff and cast shared stories, tears of mixed emotions and hugs, showing the close bonds the drama’s production members had created.

The medical drama will premiere on September 5 on tvN.
