Psy has beaten the ‘Bieber fever’ with his Gangnam Style music video in America.

According to the real time ranking of America’s iTunes music video ranking, as of August 21 1:40 (KST), Gangnam Style is first on the chart’s ranking.

In doing so, Psy beat out some formidable competition, including Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Carly Rae Jepsen.

The feat marks the first time a Korean music video and Korean artist has topped the chart’s ranking. The music video is also fast approaching the 43 million view mark on YouTube.
