Due to his military duties, Rain has been unable to watch his own movie, R2B: Return to Base, but fortunately for the singer-turned-actor and lucky fans, he received the chance to make surprise appearance at a screening.
On August 22 at a CGV movie theater in Wangsimni in Seoul, the cast of R2B: Return to Base were giving their greetings to the fans in the audience when Kim Sung Soo knowingly asked if there were any soldiers in the audience.
Rain then rose from his seat and greeted fans. Rain had received a four nights, five day vacation from his military duties and was able to finally see his own movie.
“I’m currently a soldier, so I can’t stand in front of you in an official setting. Please understand,” said Rain, during his short greeting from his seat.
Rain will be returning to his base on August 23.
