Psy finally Gangnam Styled it onto the stage of the MTV VMA on September 6 (PST) and surprised everyone when he spoke in Korean.

As they were lifted up to the stage, Psy and actor and stand-up comedian, Kevin Hart, performed the Gangnam Style horse-riding dance, to the delight of many in the audience.

When Kevin Hart asked how Psy felt about his 100 million views on Youtube, Psy replied in Korean, “I feel great and am so happy. I always wanted to speak Korean on a stage like this. Isn’t it awesome?”

Psy then switched to English, before exiting the stage just as they arrived.

Flashed on the screen were Katy Perry and Rihanna, who seemed fairly entertained. Katy Perry, who previously tweeted that she was obsessed with the song, even attempted to dance it in her seat.

Netizens, back in Korea, commented, “Psy’s comments in Korea was completely surprising,” “I’m so proud of Psy,” and “So excited and happy that Psy is entering into the global market.”
