It seems like everyone wants a piece of Super Junior’s Kyuhyun these days, seeing as he’s a member of one of the top idol groups in Korea and a popular MC on hit talk show Radio Star, but it appears he wasn’t always everyone’s top pick.

The Super Junior member appeared on the September 20 broadcast of tvN’s Taxi, where the show’s new MC, Kim Gura, revealed how Kyuhyun came to be an MC on MBC’s Radio Star.

Although Kim Gura recommended Kyuhyun for the MC spot, the comedian revealed the Super Junior member was actually his third pick—after Moon Hee Jun and singer Lee Jung.

Third time’s the charm, indeed.
