Shinhwa Jun Jin and Super Junior Shindong’s Double Eyelid Surgeries were for Health Reasons

In the middle of their careers, Shinhwa’s Jun Jin and Super Junior’s Shindong both received double eyelid surgeries.

On September 22’s broadcast of jTBC’s Shinhwa Broadcast, both idol stars revealed that the procedure was not for beauty reasons, but health.

The Super Junior members, who came on the show as guests, ranked the Shinhwa members that they would like to be.

For Jun Jin, who was second, Eunhyuk said if he had a face like Jun Jin’s, he wouldn’t have gotten plastic surgery.

Jun Jin then explained the reason why.

“A lot of people don’t know about this, but it’s not double eyelid surgery, but a surgery to correct blepharoptosis.”

Blepharoptosis is when the muscles above the eyelid start giving out and the eyelid starts drooping.

Shindong chimed in saying that his surgery was also for that reason. “But not a lot of people know about it, so I just tell them it’s double eyelid surgery.”

Jun Jin added that he finally decided to get the surgery after he got a lot of wrinkles on his forehead due to making strong, charismatic looks on stage.
