Hwang Jung Eum is making her movie comeback.
The actress was confirmed to have joined as the lead of director Jang Moon Il’s new feature, A Pig-Like Woman as the pig farmer, Jae Hwa.
In the movie, Lee Jong Hyuk stars as the lone unmarried bachelor, Joon Seop, who raises flowers in a small rural village. Though the village was once a thriving town for its hairtail fish catches, its resources have long been depleted now and left behind a sparsely populated village.
Looking to earn a living for her poor parents and younger sibling, Jae Hwa comes to town with her friends Mi Ja (Choi Yeo Jin) and Yoo Ja (Park Jin Ju) to raise pigs and comes to encounter Joon Seop to humorous results.
The movie shared Hwang Jung Eum will cast away her sweet and lovable image for the upcoming movie to transform into the chic and tough Jae Hwa.
A Pig-Like Woman will kick off shooting in Yeosu and is expected to premiere sometime next year.
