Prosecution has decided to indict actresses Lee Seung Yeon, Park Si Yeon and Jang Mi In Ae for propofol abuse.

The indictment was announced by the Seoul Central District Prosecutors′ Office on March 12. Hyun Young was also among those questioned, but she was only given a summary indictment with a fine as she received lesser doses.

A rep from the prosecutors′ office stated, "[We found the actresses had] demanded additional injections after they had finished receiving treatment, and even visited other hospitals on the same day they had been treated to get more of the drug."

Two obstetricians and other abusers were indicted for a total of 11.

Jang Mi In Ae and Park Si Yeon have continued to deny the charges, saying that they will cooperate with the investigation in full to clear their name.

Jang Mi In Ae′s agency C-JeS Entertainment emphasized through a press release on March 13 that she only received propofol injections with prescriptions while receiving skin treatment.

Park Si Yeon′s agency Eyagi Entertainment also stated the same, underlining that Park Si Yeon only received the injections for treatment.

"I wish to say I′m sorry I′ve gotten involved in such an issue," Jang Mi In Ae apologized through her agency, while Park Si Yeon′s agency also said, "We wish to apologize to Park Si Yeon′s fans and the public for causing concern."

Prosecution recently looked into suspicions of propofol abuse. This is the first such investigation after its categorization as a controlled drug in February 2011.
