Many are wondering how actor Lee Dong Wook will fare in his first appearance as a variety program MC.
Although it has already been nine long years since Lee’s acting debut back in 1994, his completely new role as a variety MC should prove to be a worthy challenge.
Although it has already been nine long years since Lee’s acting debut back in 1994, his completely new role as a variety MC should prove to be a worthy challenge.

On April 5, Lee appeared alongside talented broadcast personality Shin Dong Yeop for the first filmed broadcast of Strong Heart’s at SBS’ Open Hall in Seoul.
It was also revealed that the Strong Heart’s production crew had strongly considered Lee as the show’s lone MC initially. However, Lee’s inexperience and the fact that he had to lead over 10 celebrities was the reason why the more established and experienced Shin was selected to be his co-host.
While many people shared their concerns over Lee’s variety program transition, Lee’s rep assuaged some of the fears and hinted that the new challenge shouldn’t pose of an issue as Lee already had radio broadcasting experience from his time in the army.
A rep from Lee’s agency King Kong Entertainment recently met with a reporter and said, “While there were concerns, Lee agreed to take the MC role on Strong Heart’s because he felt that it would be a wonderful opportunity for growth as an actor.”
Furthermore, the production team of Strong Heart’s plans to surround them with their close friends for the first broadcast in order to ease their burden.
