Girls’ Generation (SNSD) may have gotten the short end of the stick on the "Average Height of Girl Groups” ranking , which made its rounds online a few months ago, but it appears the girls can stand tall in Japan, where they are seen towering over a number of Japanese stars.

A photo of the SNSD members from their appearance on Japanese music program Music Station last year was posted on a message board on May 7 under the title, “When the Short Girls’ Generation Went to Japan".
The girls are seen standing alongside some of Japan’s top stars, and although most of the members may be considered petite in Korea, they appear to be taller than average in Japan.
While the angle of the photo certainly gives the members a boost in the height department, the girls are, in actuality, taller than the average girl group member in Japan.
SNSD members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun are currently promoting as unit group Taetiseo with their new single Twinkle.
