It’s been recently revealed that G-Dragon of Big Bang was actually a trainee of SM Entertainment.
Aired on May 8, Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News unveiled all of the big behind-the-scene secrets of celebrities, including Song Joong Ki, Park Hae Il, Lee Jae Hoon, Yoo Jae Suk, Shin Min Ah, 4minute’s Hyuna, and fifteen other stars.

Among them, it was revealed that G-Dragon, who is currently under YG Entertainment, actually trained with SM Entertainment for five years. The program staff said that G-Dragon entered SM Entertainment at the age of eight, hoping to become a singer, but ended up making his debut through YG Entertainment.
Also, Song Joong Ki almost became an idol singer instead of an actor. He was casted on the street, and Song Joong Ki made his debut into the entertainment world and is currently acting through SidusHQ . But after much research, the program staff found out that the first company that casted Song Joong Ki actually focused around training singers. After deciding that he had no talent in singing and dancing, Song Joong Ki decided to leave the company and move onto SidusHQ.
Other secrets included Infinite, who applied to appear in Mnet’s Super Star K,, and Ulala Session’s Im Yun Taek, who was an alchemist. This and more were revealed on Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News on May 8.
