Shinhwa’s internationally recognized actor member, Kim Dong Wan, has transformed into an investigator for his new movie.

For the upcoming disaster-thriller movie Deranged (Korean romanization: Yeongasi), Kim Dong Wan plays the role of Jae Pil, an investigator and younger brother of the movie’s main character Jae Hyuk (Kim Myung Min).

The newly released still cuts shows a charismatic-looking Kim Dong Wan with facial hair, brandishing a gun.

For his role as a detective, Kim Dong Wan visited a few police agencies to observe and study real-life investigators during their day-to-day duties.

Deranged is a thrilling disaster movie about parasitic worms (yeongasi) devastating the Korean population by making them deranged. Jae Hyuk, Jae Pil and the other characters must race to find a stop to the worms.

Deranged premieres in Korea on July 5.
