Wheesung has received surgery on his back and is currently recovering in the hospital.

On July 12, a representative for Wheesung revealed the singer, who is currently serving his mandatory military service, received surgery on July 11 for a slipped disc and is currently being treated after being admitted to a hospital.

Wheesung received a 9 nights, 10 days temporary leave for his herniated disc but is also facing a list of other medical issues including both shoulders being dislocated, psoriasis (dry skin) and sudden balding.

The representative stressed however, Wheesung would be returning to serve out the remainder of his military duties.

Wheesung is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on July 13.
