SNSD (Girls′ Generation), 2PM and T-ara have all hit gold with their latest albums in Japan.

According to figures released by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on July 13, T-ara, SNSD and 2PM have all been certified gold by the group.

Gold certification is given to artists who sell over 100,000 copies of their album.

By these standards, T-ara’s first full-length Japanese album Jewelry Box, 2PM’s single album Beautiful and SNSD’s Paparazzi have all been recognized as ‘gold’.

In addition, SNSD’s first full-length Japanese album Girls’ Generation was also officially recognized for selling over a million copies.
