[20’s Choice Star] SHINee

SHINee made its K-Pop comeback with fourth mini album Sherlock in March, but it’s no mystery why the group has been nominated for the 20’s Performance award at this year’s 20’s Choice Awards.

Always one step ahead, SHINee introduced a new style of music through hybrid track Sherlock, which was a mix between two other tracks, Clue and Note on the album. And with star choreographer Tony Testa as the mastermind behind the moves, SHINee’s Sherlock had all of the trappings to be a K-Pop spectacle.

SHINee definitely did not disappoint when it finally released the album. Not only did the five-member idol group slay the music charts in Korea with its album upon its release earlier this year, SHINee managed to take over the Taiwanese music charts and displayed its hallyu prowess in Japan.

As if all of Asia isn’t enough conquered territory, SHINee’s Sherlock music video even managed to make its way onto a French talk show.

SHINee is slowly but surely grabbing the world’s attention, but will it be recognized at this year’s award show?
