[20’s Choice Star] Suzy

Suzy may have made her debut in the entertainment industry as a girl group member, but you’d be a fool to pigeon-hole her as just that.

In her short career, Suzy has become the first female to sweep the rookie award in the three major categories of music, dramas and film, making her a Triple Crown winner.
 
Not only did Suzy take home the Female Rookie Award at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards alongside her miss A group mates, she was awarded the Best Rookie Actress award at the 2011 KBS Drama Awards for her performance in Dream High before snagging the Best Rookie Actress award at the 48th Paeksang Arts Awards this year for film Architecture 101.
 
Suzy is in the running to take home the 20’s Movie Star award as well as the 20’s Trendy Music Award with her fellow miss A members at this year’s 20’s Choice Awards, but she’s no rookie when it comes to the award show, having received the Hot New Star Award last year.
 
The singer and actress can’t seem to catch a break these days as she has since begun filming for new KBS drama Big, and she’s undoubtedly one rising star to keep an eye on. But will Suzy be adding a 2012 20’s Choice Award trophy to her collection? Find out when the big show airs on June 28.
